South Middlesex EMS, is pleased to announce the production of the mandatory OEMS A/R 5-509 interfacility transfer course for paramedics.  This course will cover the mandatory regulations, rules, protocols and procedures associated with performing ALS transfers in Massachusetts.  The course will cover Interfacility pharmacology, pump and transport ventilator management, and will present hands on skill labs with IV pumps, central lines, ventilators and chest drain units. Candidates will be given a written exam at the completion of the course to assess their operational readiness. To Register: Go to course registration page of this site and fill in the information. Click "Submit" - Payment is due on Day 1 of class - EVEN if your Service is paying or reimbursing you. Any payment submitted after Day 1 of class must include $25 late fee (Total $ 150.00).	Courses will be held throughout the summer and fall.  Please check back for dates. The course will be held at a location just North of Boston, with free and available parking.
